A. My name is JD Laukkonen. I like to write. Hopefully you like to read.
My first published book is forthcoming from Roosevelt Books (Bully!) as soon as my editor gets done with instructing me on how to remove the crummy from it. If you’re wondering what Roosevelt Books is you’re not alone. It is a mystery to discover (for every one.)
Essentially it’s a micropublisher I formed in September 2008. (Mystery solved, I guess)
Why Roosevelt? Partially for the 26th President of these United States, who I have always felt was a delightful character. Mostly for nostalgia though, as in a former life I owned and operated another business of a similar name here in Seattle, before I got burned out and moved on to selling real estate (which coincidentally is a profession which has afforded me considerably more time to write &c.)

A. A blog for talking about this thing I have decided to do.
Why the “Breakers” (and why all the running, demons, etc?) You’ll have to read the first book to find out. Trust me it makes sense.
